After three succesful years, Swatch Shoot My Ride returned last winter in an even better version: SMR 2.0 HD. As the title reflects, the whole system got updated according to the latest standards: HD camera’s with slow motion feature, Chill Out zones with free Wi-Fi, you name it! Communicating at the highest level! In 2009, MediaMountain developed a branding concept that allowed skiers and snowboarders of all levels to record the fun and action in several ski resorts across Europe. Sponsored by Swatch, the Shoot My Ride system users could jump in a snowpark or onto an BigAirBag, which was recorded by several camera’s. After each jump, the video was instantly replayed at the bottom of the run on a Giant Screen and the content was also available on the Swatch.com website for sharing with friends on social networks. With this concept, MediaMountain was awarded the “Out Of Home Media Owner of the year” at the 2009 FMA’s.
