As project manager at BigAirBag you will be supporting the sales- and logistics team by getting the orders First Time Right into production. We’re a small and cheerful team where lines are short. You will contribute to the logistical process of preparing for transport and preparing for installation by the requested needs from BigAirBag. Your main goal is striving for happy customers which will result into new sales opportunities.
Who are we?
BigAirBag is a growing and innovative company that deals with the development & manufacturing of BigAirBag products made from technical textiles for the sport and leisure industry. Think of ski resorts, trampoline parks, extreme sports athletes, or even the fire department. Our products are sold all over the world. Our company employs approximately 17 people on a full-time basis, supplemented by a group of part-timers. The production in Amsterdam is currently run by a team of 3. We have a sales team in Amsterdam and some in other locations in the world. The logistics team is in Amsterdam and that’s where your location will be too.
Position and job description
As project manager you are responsible for moving the orders First Time Right from sales into production. You schedule installation and make sure the client will get a call after the order has been done. This is a full-time job based at our headquarters in Amsterdam. You are at the beginning and end of the funnel of our customer journey.
- Agenda management and understanding logistic processes
- E-mail management
- You are proficient on a laptop and can work whole days behind a laptop

- You can switch quickly and tick off your own to do lists
- Prepare and run our events, such as try and buy experiences
- Working with the headquarters in Amsterdam and abroad at our clients.
- Informing client of order intake with a personal but standard order confirmation including product details, production time-line & upselling opportunities, like: spare parts, accessories, installation services, airfreight etc.
- Proactively making sure contact is established: mail/phone (optionally US phone number)
- Optimisation and standardisation of customer communication process
You have:
- 2 years experience with administration work or project management
- Good understanding of all BigAirBag values: quality, safety, service and fun
- Commercial thinking: being able to recognise sales opportunities
- You can manage clients with a personal touch. People buy from people.
- Excellent proficiency of English language, both verbally and in writing
- You have a proactive work attitude, and you are strong in time management (setting priorities)
- You have a good dose of positive energy, a team player and no 9 to 5 mentality.
